School Rules
1. As regular attendance is an important element of education no leave of absence will be granted except on a serious reason. 80% attendance is compulsory for promotion.
2. Parents and guardians must state clearly the reason for the absence such as religious celebrations, marriage etc., Failure to do so invalidates the application.
3. Leave of absence must be obtained from the Principal or Headmistress attested in the Hand Book. Half day Leave will not be granted to students. Once they come to school they have to attend the whole day. They are not allowed to go out of schoolcampus during school hours including recess time. In case of serious illness the Principal must be informed within five days with a Doctor's certificate, accompanied by the leave application by the parent.
4. Those who return to school after absenting themselves shall no enter the class without leave note countersigned by Class teacher.
5. Uncertified absence for more than fifteen consecutive days, renders a student liable to be removed from the rolls and usual admission fee will be charged if he/she is re-admitted.
6. No student who comes late shall enter the class without the signature of Principal in the Principal's Remark sheet.
(HOME STUDY AND PARENTAL CO-OPERATION)
7. Parents and guardians are expected to co-operate with the school authorities by enforcing regularity and discipline, helping their children or wards prepare their lessons and taking helpful interest in the activities of the school.
8. Parents and guardians are informed that daily reports if any, from the school about conduct and studies are conveyed through the hand book, they are expected to take note of the reports and message with their counter signature and to confer with the Principal and through him/her with teachers concerned.
9. Students who fail to show these remarks and reports and get them countersigned by their parents are liable to be punished and send home.
10. Private tuitions are discouraged and should be resorted to only after consulting the Principal. No teacher is allowed to tutor his/her own students where he/she teaches.
11. Parents / guardians are requested to notify the school office in writing of any change in their address or telephone number.
12. In all communication with the school, the name, standard and division of their children should be clearly mentioned.
13. The School Management, Principal and Staff will not be held responsible in any way for any accident or mishap that may occur to the student while he/she using any other vehicle than school vehicle. The sick student should not be sent to the school.
14. Educational Tours, Excursions and picnics are frequently organized during the academic year. Students should be given every encouragement to join such co-curricular activities. The school authorities, management and the staff will not be held responsible for any unforeseen accident or mishap during the picnics, tours or excursion.
EXAMINATION AND PROMOTION
15. During the year, oral or written examinations are held according to the norms set by the Education Department. These arg announced well in advance. Weekly/monthly test may be take for internal assessment.
16. Examinations cannot be deferred or anticipated to suit individua convenience nor re-examination will be conducted in any subject.
17. The standard of passing is 33 percent of marks in each subject For promotion in primary section, the norms are set by the education department.
18. Parent's response regarding the progress of the student throughou the year will be given due importance while deciding on the promotion.
19. The results of the four Unit Tests will be given in the Report Card of the handbook, while the final result of the academic year will be given in person on the appointed date.
THE SCHOOL BUS
20. The bus fees have to be paid along with the school fees and the defaulters will not be permitted to travel in the bus.
21. One month's notice is required to discontinue the use of the bus. Full fee will be charged even for part of a month in which the bus is used.
22. Fees is charged for October and May. On no account can the bus service be discontinued in the month of April. No fees are refundable.
23. Parents shall send the children to the school bus stop at the appointed time. The bus will not wait for the late comers.
24. Students have to use only rexine or cloth bags in the school bus.
25. Students misbehaving in the bus will not be allowed to continue the School Bus Services.
26. Self driving (two wheeler or four wheeler) for to and fro of school by the students without licence will be strictly prohibited.
27. Students without the prescribed uniform are not allowed into the class room or in the school premises during class hours. They are liable to be sent home in which case the school disclaims all responsibilities It is the duty of the parents to see that their son/daughter does not go to school without proper uniforms.
28. Hair Styles - Hair should be oiled properly : Girls with long hair (below the shoulders level) - Two folded plaits tied with black one inch satin ribbons
29. Puff is not allowed as hair style for Std I to XII.
i) Girls with shoulder level hair - Two plaits or ponies tied wit black one inch satin ribbon.
ii) Girls with short hair up to ear level - Plain Black hairband ca be used (no design)
